Affiliate Terms

Effective Date: August 20, 2026

These Affiliate Terms govern participation in the Canvas & Iron affiliate program operated by Canvas and Iron LLC through Shopify Collabs.

By participating in the program, an affiliate agrees to these terms and any additional program-specific terms provided through Shopify Collabs.

1. Approval and Participation

Participation is by approval only.

Canvas & Iron may approve, decline, suspend, or terminate any affiliate at its discretion.

Approval does not create an employment, agency, partnership, franchise, joint venture, or ownership relationship between Canvas & Iron and the affiliate.

Affiliates act as independent promotional partners.

2. Commission Rates

Commission rates are established through the affiliate’s assigned Shopify Collabs program.

Current standard rates may include:

5% commission on eligible apparel
10% commission on select hitch cover products

Commission rates may vary by product, collection, affiliate tier, campaign, or promotional arrangement.

3. Qualifying Sales

Commission is earned only on qualifying purchases properly attributed to the affiliate through an approved affiliate link, discount code, or other tracking method supported by Shopify Collabs.

Commission is calculated on the eligible merchandise value of the qualifying transaction, subject to Shopify Collabs tracking and program rules.

Shipping charges, taxes, refunded amounts, canceled transactions, chargebacks, fraudulent transactions, and other non-qualifying amounts do not earn commission unless otherwise stated.

4. Returns, Cancellations, and Chargebacks

Commission is not owed on:

Canceled orders
Refunded orders
Returned merchandise
Fraudulent transactions
Chargebacks
Orders determined to violate these Affiliate Terms

If commission has already been credited on a transaction that later becomes ineligible, Canvas & Iron may reverse or offset that commission.

5. Customer Discounts

Approved affiliates may receive a customer discount code or affiliate link that provides a discount on eligible products.

Current standard customer discounts may include 10% off eligible products.

Discount eligibility, exclusions, usage limits, and applicable products are controlled by the affiliate’s assigned Shopify Collabs program.

Affiliates may not alter, misrepresent, reproduce, or create unauthorized Canvas & Iron discount codes.

6. Self-Referrals

Affiliates may not use their own affiliate link or discount code to earn commission on personal purchases.

Affiliates may not arrange purchases primarily for the purpose of generating commission for themselves.

Canvas & Iron may cancel commission associated with self-referrals or other transactions that do not represent legitimate customer acquisition.

7. Coupon and Deal Sites

Affiliate links and discount codes may not be posted to coupon aggregation sites, deal sites, discount-code directories, browser extensions, automated coupon tools, or similar services without prior written approval from Canvas & Iron.

Affiliates may not represent a Canvas & Iron discount as exclusive, permanent, time-limited, or otherwise special unless Canvas & Iron has specifically authorized that representation.

8. Paid Advertising and Trademark Bidding

Affiliates may not purchase paid search, paid social, display, domain, or other advertising using:

Canvas and Iron
Canvasandiron.com
Canvas & Iron product names
Canvas & Iron trademarks, logos, slogans, or confusingly similar terms

without prior written approval.

Affiliates may not bid on Canvas & Iron branded search terms or create advertisements that could reasonably be mistaken for official Canvas & Iron advertising.

9. Affiliate Disclosure

Affiliates must clearly disclose their material connection to Canvas & Iron whenever promoting products in a manner subject to applicable advertising or endorsement laws.

Disclosures should be clear, conspicuous, understandable, and placed where consumers are likely to notice them.

Acceptable disclosures may include terms such as:

“Affiliate link”
“I may earn a commission from purchases made through this link”
“Paid affiliate relationship with Canvas & Iron”

Affiliates are responsible for complying with applicable FTC endorsement and advertising requirements and any platform-specific disclosure requirements.

10. Brand and Content Standards

Affiliates must represent Canvas & Iron accurately and professionally.

Affiliates may not:

Make false or misleading statements about Canvas & Iron or its products
Misrepresent product origin, materials, manufacturing, availability, pricing, performance, or characteristics
Suggest that an affiliate is an employee, owner, official spokesperson, or authorized representative of Canvas & Iron
Create fake reviews, testimonials, ratings, endorsements, scarcity claims, or product claims
Use deceptive marketing practices
Present unauthorized political endorsements or candidate affiliations on behalf of Canvas & Iron

Affiliates must follow any separate Canvas & Iron Affiliate Brand Guidelines provided by the company.

11. Intellectual Property

Canvas & Iron retains all ownership rights in its name, logos, trademarks, artwork, product photography, written content, slogans, website content, and other intellectual property.

Affiliates receive only a limited, revocable right to use approved Canvas & Iron brand assets for purposes of participating in the affiliate program.

Affiliates may not:

Modify or distort Canvas & Iron logos
Create derivative logos or marks
Register domains, usernames, social media accounts, or business names containing Canvas & Iron or confusingly similar terms
Sell Canvas & Iron artwork or digital assets
Use Canvas & Iron intellectual property outside the scope of the affiliate program

12. Military and Licensed Marks

Affiliates may not use U.S. Army, National Guard, military unit, heraldic, insignia, or other licensed military marks appearing on Canvas & Iron products unless Canvas & Iron has expressly authorized that specific promotion.

Additional restrictions, attribution language, notices, or promotional requirements may apply to licensed military products.

Affiliates must follow any instructions provided by Canvas & Iron concerning licensed products and marks.

13. Product-Origin Claims

Affiliates must use only product-origin and manufacturing claims specifically provided or approved by Canvas & Iron.

Affiliates may not independently characterize products as “Made in USA,” “American-made,” “American-manufactured,” or similar terms beyond the exact product claims supplied by Canvas & Iron.

14. Program Changes

Canvas & Iron may modify commission rates, customer discounts, product eligibility, program requirements, or these Affiliate Terms at any time.

Changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law or Shopify Collabs program rules.

Continued participation after changes are communicated constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Suspension and Termination

Canvas & Iron may suspend or terminate an affiliate relationship for any reason, including violation of these terms, brand misuse, deceptive promotion, fraud, inactivity, or conduct inconsistent with the interests of Canvas & Iron.

Upon termination, the affiliate must stop using Canvas & Iron affiliate links, promotional materials, trademarks, logos, and other brand assets except as otherwise authorized.

Valid commissions earned before termination remain subject to Shopify Collabs payment rules, transaction eligibility, returns, chargebacks, and these terms.

16. Payment

Affiliate commissions are tracked and processed through Shopify Collabs or another payment method designated by Canvas & Iron.

Payment timing, processing requirements, account verification, minimum thresholds, and other payment mechanics may be governed by Shopify Collabs.

Canvas & Iron is not responsible for payment delays caused by incomplete affiliate account information, payment-provider requirements, or other circumstances outside its reasonable control.
